I’ve had plenty of clients ask me an alternative to lash extensions because they know they are rough sleepers or they know they aren’t the best with upkeep, and I always suggest a lash lift and tint. A lash lift is essentially a safe way to “perm” your lashes. It leaves a beautiful natural curl to your lashes for 6-8 weeks. The “tint” adds color and depth to them and with both together, it can give an effortless illusion of having mascara on.
A brow lamination is basically “perming” your brows in a safe way. Instead of using brow gel, a brow lamination replaces that step because it keeps your brows in the position you brush it in without applying any product in the morning. This also goes well with a brow tint to get the full affect of “filling your brows in” only not having to do anything in the morning.
Don’t apply water or moisture to the lashes for 24 hours after your service has been over. Be cautious of extreme heat (so, saunas, hair dryers, intense exercise(sweat), laying out in the sun). Be cautious of what skin care products you are using. Avoid oils. So try to use oil free products. Be aware of how you sleep and make sure when you wake up you brush them out.
Do NOT apply moisturizer the day of your appointment. This goes for both lash extensions and lash lift and tint. We need that glue or that lifting solution to be able to keep its bond/ retention. Tell me if you are taking any type of medication involving your skin. Try to avoid caffeine 2 hours before your appointment. This will help me because if you have caffeine, your eyes tend to move back and fourth which slows me down, and caffeine can sensitize your skin. Be ready to sit there for a couple of hours. Go to the bathroom before you leave your house.
You need to know your sensitivities to certain products and let me know ASAP. Let me know if any past reactions to waxing and please tell me if you are on any medication that could affect how your skin reacts to the wax. Also, do not moisturize before your waxing appointment.
Try to stay out of the sun for 24 hours. Be cautious because your skin is sensitive. Also, know that makeup won’t apply smoothly for up to 8 hours. It may result in a patchy application.
Although I love you so dearly, it is best we don’t chit chat for the time of lashing because, It will save time, and I don’t want the gel pads moving all over the underneath of your eye. We need them in one place so they can protect your skin.
